Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne were Black Sabbath bandmates for years, but they don’t speak anymore.

Butler made the revelation in his new book “Into The Void: From Birth To Black Sabbath – And Beyond” which is out now.

Why don’t the two bandmates speak anymore? Their wives had a falling out. Butler notes, “Me and Ozzy are fine; it’s just that we’re both ruled by our wives. He’s got a big heart and was always there for me.”

Although the pair may be there for each other, fans should not expect a Black Sabbath reunion any time soon. In an interview, Ozzy Osbourne responded to comments made by Sabbath lead guitarist Tony Iommi, about wanting to see the band reunite after their farewell shows in 2017.

Ozzy explained, “Not for me. It’s done. The only thing I do regret is not doing the last farewell show in Birmingham with [drummer] Bill Ward. I felt really bad about that. It would have been so nice. I don’t know what the circumstances behind it were, but it would have been nice. But I don’t have any of the slightest interest in [doing another gig.] Maybe Tony’s getting bored.”

Fans can get a taste of Black Sabbath in Butler’s book which tells “His side of the Sabbath story for the first time, from early days as a scrappy blues quartet through to the many lineup changes, the record-breaking tours and the international hell-raising with Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward. Butler is the third Black Sabbath member to publish an autobiography – Ozzy Osbourne published his memoir in 2009 and Tony Iommi released one in 2011.
