Foo Fighters helped bring rock back into the Billboard charts!
The band’s latest album, “But Here We Are,” debuted in the Billboard Top 10 at number 8 in its first week of release.
The album is the band’s first since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins and features the songs “Rescued,” “Under You,” and “The Teacher.”
The Foo Fighters have said Hawkins’ death will be a central theme of the album – which is reflected in lyrics such as, “Think I’m gettin’ over it / There’s no getting over it.”
The band calls the album, “A brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year” – but also “A testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family.”
Foo Fighters weren’t alone in the Billboard 200: Avenged Sevenfold’s new album “Life is But a Dream” debuted at number 13!
