Metallica has a new release out this week – but only for Amazon subscribers.
The Amsterdam Sessions (Amazon Music Presents) includes live videos of “Master Of Puppets”, “Lux Æterna”, “If Darkness Had A Son”, and “Nothing Else Matters”.
It will be released Wednesday, June 14th exclusively on Amazon.
“72 Seasons”, Metallica’s 11th studio album, debuted within the top three on the Billboard 200 chart.
Frontman James Hetfield explained, “Seventy-two seasons, the first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is a reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”
The band also has a concert film hitting theaters worldwide on August 18th and August 20th, called “Metallica: M72 World Tour Live From Arlington, TX.”
