Here’s a fun fact: The city of Portland has the most strip clubs per capita in the country. And now, the dancers at a strip club in Northwest Portland have voted to unionize. Dancers at Magic Tavern have been on strike since April 4th after demanding safer work conditions for dancers. The strippers are now being represented by Actors’ Equity Association, the labor union that represented the country’s only unionized dancers in Los Angeles. And we were there for the venue’s first night as a Union strip club.
