Red Hot Chili Peppers Bassist Flea Reveals His Favorite Bass Lines

Flea revealed some of his all-time favorite bass lines.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist was doing a little Q&A on Twitter when a fan asked him to name his three favorite bass lines ever.

His picks:

  • Parliament Funkadelic, “Flash Light”
  • Led Zeppelin, “Ramble On”
  • Alice Coltrane, “Journey to Satchidananda”

Flea was recently in the news for paying his respect to Tina Turner, who died at her home in Switzerland in May at the age of 83.

“[The] most profoundly sexy woman. What a dynamo, what a story, what a heroine. Always an energy inspiration for me, always tapping the source. Tina forever. man. Always been in awe of her and the infinite power,” wrote Flea.

Flea also called Turner the “Truest rocker” and “Greatest performer.”
