Foo Fighters Do Live Debut Of “The Teacher”

The Foo Fighters are continuing to debut live versions of songs from their new album, “But Here We Are.”

The band performed the live debut of “The Teacher” Wednesday at a show in Arkansas. The tune is seemingly a tribute to frontman Dave Grohl‘s mother, Virginia, who was a teacher. It was the closing song for the set, taking the place of the usual show-ender “Everlong,” which wasn’t played.

But Here We Are was released on June 2 and is the first Foo Fighters album since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. The Foos are currently on the road with new touring drummer Josh Freese.
