Foo Fighters Briefly Cover Beastie Boys at Bonnaroo Festival

Foo Fighters’ set at Bonaroo on Sunday was a fun one! Along with guest appearances and tributes to Taylor Hawkins, the band also threw out some covers for the crowd.

While they didn’t play it in its entirety, the Foo Fighters DID attempt to cover Beastie Boys’ 1994 classic “Sabotage.”

They only made it a few lines in before Dave Grohl said, “I can’t f***ing rap and I don’t know the song, though I love it.”

Grohl added, “Next year, we’ll come back to Bonnaroo, we’ll play at the f****ing ‘Wha-What Stage’ and we’ll do a whole Beastie Boys set, how about that?”

The band also brought Paramore’s Hayley Williams on stage to sing “My Hero.”

Bay Area fans can see the Foo Fighters perform with new drummer Josh Freese at Outside Lands as they headline the festival on Saturday, August 12th.
