Def Leppard, Sammy Hagar, and others will be getting stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced its 2024 honorees this week – which also includes Hootie & The Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker, legendary producer Glen Ballard, Gwen Stefani, and Dr. Dre.
“The Selection Committee which is made up of fellow Walk of Famers, carefully hand-picks a group of honorees each year that represent various genres of the entertainment world,” said Chair and Walk of Famer Ellen K. “The Committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!”
What an honor, right? Well, not so much – celebrities with a star have to pay a $75,000 fee to get it – often covered by their studio or record label. The Walk of Fame currently includes over 2,700 celebrities.
