Someone Used AI to Have Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine cover Metallica’s ‘Master of Puppets’

Someone used artificial intelligence to have Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine cover Metallica’s hit song “Master of Puppets”.

The new song is particularly interesting because of Megadeth’s and Metallica’s long-standing feud. Recently, the fight was reignited when former Megadeth member David Ellefson addressed the issue.

Ellefson, who was kicked out of Megadeth in 2021 and is now the bassist for Kings of Thrash, says he has no issues with Metallica; in fact, he claims to be a fan.

“Look, it was not my feud, because I was a huge Metallica fan,” said Ellefson. “I’m in the band with Dave, so I’ve gotta toe the company line. It’s one of these, ‘Hey, man, if you’re my friend, you have to love my friends, and you’ve gotta hate my enemies with me.

Metallica, Megadeth and Kings of Thrash are currently on tour – separately, of course.
