Tool Fan Admits They Ruined Their Own Wedding Day Over a Tool Concert

Richard Ecclestone/Redferns

One Tool fan recently shared that they may have jeopardized their relationship over their love for the band.

The fan took to the Tool Reddit page and admitted that they wanted to move their wedding because it was the same day Tool was playing in their town.

“So me and my wife are getting married (unfortunately) on the third of October which is the day Tool will be in our town of Loveland, CO.,” the Reddit user wrote. “So I told my wife I don’t want to be married on the third because Tool was in town. That lead to the worst fight of our lives and she went to go live with her parents and it seems that all her relatives are on her side what should I do.”

While some commenters said that the fan was being ridiculous, others chimed in saying it was “reasonable” for them to want to move the date.

The post’s top comment reads, “Congratulations, this is the most tool fan post I’ve ever seen.”

Other responses include a range of emotions:

  • “Tool was there before her and will be there after her.”
  • “Go to the concert. You no longer have plans.”
  • “Undeniable dilemma.”
  • “Maynard told us about fans like you.”
