Epiphone is sharing another piece from the Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection.
The unprecedented, limited-edition collection curated by the Tool guitarist brings his love of fine art and music together with seven, iconic and unique Les Paul Custom Silverburst masterpieces.
The guitars feature the artwork of five distinguished visual artists handpicked by Adam.
“When I think of art, I see both the visual and the aural as equally important, with one bolstering the other,” says Adam Jones, who selected the seven striking artworks beautifully reproduced on the backs of these guitars.
“The Epiphone Les Paul Customs are finished in Antique Silverburst, as an homage to Adam’s original 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom.” Epiphone states, “For this unprecedented collection, Adam curated works by artists Mark Ryden, Frank Frazetta, Julie Heffernan, Korin Faught, and Ernst Fuchs. Epiphone will make only 800 of each model for this extremely limited-edition run.”
The five featured guitars:
- Korin Faught’s “Sensation”
- Julie Heffernan’s “Self-Portrait As Not Dead Yet”
- Julie Heffernan’s “Study For Self-Portrait With Rose Skirt And A Mouse”
- Frank Frazetta’s “The Berserker”
- Mark Ryden’s “The Veil of Bees”
