Former That 70’s Show actor Danny Masterson has been sentenced to 30 years to life in prison, following his rape convictions earlier this year.
The 47-year-old actor was convicted of raping two women at his Hollywood Hills home in 2003.
Masterson, the victims, and a third accuser were all members of the Church of Scientology at the time.
“When you raped me, you stole from me,” said one woman who Masterson was convicted of raping in 2003, according to AP. “That’s what rape is, a theft of the spirit.”
“You are pathetic, disturbed and completely violent,” she continued. “The world is better off with you in prison.”
“This has been a long and arduous road for the victims of Mr. Masterson,” read a statement from District Attorney George Gascón. “They not only survived his abuse, they also survived a system that is often not kind to victims.”
Masterson has been in custody since he was convicted in May.
