Pantera has dropped out of the upcoming Aftershock festival and Stone Temple Pilots have been named as the replacement.

“Aftershock family, due to unforeseen circumstances, Pantera is no longer able to join us next month.” The official announcement continues, “We’re excited to share that Stone Temple Pilots has stepped up to perform with us on Thursday, October 5 and are thrilled to announce that while Pantera can no longer make it this year, they’ll be joining us in 2024!”

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be unable to perform at this year’s edition of Aftershock next month,” Pantera wrote on Twitter. “This event is monumental and it pains us to have to miss it. We will however be back for Aftershock 2024!”

According to the message, the band will still perform at the Louder Than Life Festival in Kentucky this weekend.

Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Godsmack, Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Megadeth, Rancid, Turnstile, and more will all perform at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California, from October 5th to 8th 2023.
