David Lee Roth Shares Unreleased Song Featuring John 5

David Lee Roth has shared a previously unreleased song featuring Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5. The singer released “Manda Bala” over the weekend.

The song was first recorded in 2007 for a solo album that never saw the light of day, and later released as part of the 2020 online comic The Roth Project.

Speaking about his time with Roth on the “Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz”, John 5 said, “We had a great time. We had a blast — a lot of laughs, a lot of fun. I’m just so happy that I had that cool working vibe with Dave that we can just jump into the studio anytime and knock out some songs. And I’m very lucky ’cause not a lot of people get a chance to do that with Dave.

John 5 got his start playing for David Lee Roth’s band, before working with artists like Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and eventually Mötley Crüe.
