Papa Roach Surpasses One Billion Streams on Spotify

Papa Roach is now part of Spotify’s “Billions Club.”

The band’s song “Last Resort” has officially been streamed one billion times on the platform.

The tune hit the landmark last week, and the band wrote on social media, “We can’t believe it Last Resort just hit a billion streams on Spotify. Thank you to the fans for the continued support after all these years!!”

Spotify launched “Billions Club” in 2020 as a playlist that includes all of the songs that have surpassed one billion streams on the platform. Even though the playlist began in 2020, it was seven years ago when Drake became the first artist to have a song reach one billion plays with his smash “One Dance,” from the 2016 album “Views.”

A total of 491 songs are currently in the Billions Club – the most recent addition was Taylor Swift’s “Lover”. In May, the Beatles surpassed one billion streams on Spotify with “Here Comes the Sun,” becoming the first Beatles song to do so. Then in June, Survivor’s 1982 classic “Eye Of The Tiger” joined the exclusive club.
