As Whitesnake continues winding down ahead of frontman David Coverdale’s upcoming retirement from touring, at least one of the band’s former members is expressing interest in reuniting with the group for at least one performance.
David Coverdale recently said, “I’m soon to be talking with my band about the idea of a farewell Whitesnake studio album and to invite some former members to participate to make it more complete — Adrian [Vandenberg] perhaps, Doug Aldrich, see if they would wanna come in.”
Thankfully, ex-guitarist Adrian Vandenberg says he’d love to play with the band one last time.
“I would absolutely do it if my schedule allows it,” Vandenberg says. “But I will do everything I can to make it work because it will be epic to do something like that. Who knows? I’m like James Bond. I say never say never.”
Vandenberg was a member of Whitesnake for 13 years, performing on the band’s biggest hit, “Here I Go Again.” He says when Coverdale got the band back together in 2002, he asked Vandenberg to return. However, Vandenberg says, “I couldn’t do it because I had all kinds of obligations.”
The guitarist now fronts Vandenberg’s Moonkings.
