The Rolling Stones are celebrating their new album ‘Hackney Diamonds.’
The band held a private launch party Thursday night for their first new record in 18 years.
They tore through a half-dozen songs for a crowd of hundreds at the Racket NYC club on Manhattan’s West Side.
Lead singer Mick Jagger joked that doing another New York launch was part of the motivation for making the new record saying, “We were missing the launches so much we had to go back and make another album.”
The band closed with an appearance by Lady Gaga for “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.” Watch the surprise performance below.
