The Beatles Score Most-Streamed Song Ever in the UK

More than 50 years after they went their separate ways, the members of the Beatles are still breaking records in the U.K.

The Beatles’ A.I.-assisted “Now and Then” has broken their own record for the most-streamed track ever, racking up 3.08 million streams in its first three days of release, according to the U.K.’s Official Charts Company.

It blows the previous record holder – “Here Comes the Sun,” which was re-released in 2021 to 1.05 million streams – out of the water. It also marks the Beatles’ 18th number one single on the U.K. charts, the company confirms.

Consequently, the video has also broken a record, garnering 1.45 million streams in the U.K. over a three-day period, the Charts Company reports. That’s eight times as many streams as the previous record holder – also “Here Comes the Sun” – received over a seven-day period in 2019, officials say.
