Geddy Lee Talks About Lost Solo Demos

YouTube, @William Bamarth.

Rush’s Geddy Lee is sharing some new music with his new memoir, “My ‘Effin Life.”

In conjunction with the book’s publication last month, Lee released two demos, “Gone” and “I Am…You Are.” Both tracks were intended for his 2000 solo album “My Favorite Headache.” The songs are featured on the audiobook version of the memoir and are streaming as well.

Lee says he discovered the demos over the course of writing the book and brought them to his friend, producer David Bottrell.

He explained, “We got them to a place where they sounded great to me and they made me want to write songs again and get back into music. So I decided I’m going to release them as ‘the lost demos’ so there’s no mistake. It’s not a new project.”
