Ex-Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing is once again taking aim at his former band, calling 1981’s Point of Entry the worst album he’s ever made.
Downing, who now performs with KK’s Priest, makes the claim in an interview with Classic Rock magazine. When asked to name the worst album he’s been a part of, he responds, “Jesus, I’ll have to go with Point Of Entry. But then again, there are some great songs on that one. That’s so, so hard to answer.”
Downing’s pick for his best album? It’s a toss-up between two; and neither is a Judas Priest album. “No apologies, I must pick my albums by KK’s Priest: Sermons Of The Sinner and the new one, Sinner Rides Again. They’re both very, very kick-ass and I’m proud of them both. They epitomize everything about me and who I am. They continue my legacy and carry the hallmarks of the past.”
