Grateful Dead Release Winter Solstice Playlist

The Grateful Dead is welcoming winter with a new playlist.

Aptly titled “Winter Solstice,” the Dead’s playlist was released on Dec. 20, which is the day before the first day of winter.

The playlist is 16 hours long and is only 61 tracks. Additionally, the playlist boasts the “best and longest versions of essential Dead tracks.”

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year since it has the least daylight.
