How Dave Grohl Avoided Jail Time in Abu Dhabi

Anyone attending a Foo Fighters concert knows Dave Grohl swears.

When the band played at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November, Grohl had to lock down that language to avoid jail time. Cursing is forbidden in the United Arab Emirates, and one foul-mouthed slip-up could get someone fined.

To avoid this, Grohl put signs on stage and on his microphone that read, “NO CURSING.”

Grohl and the rest of the Foos managed to do the entire show without cursing, which he said was “…the first time ever!”
