Jonathan Davis Explains The Origins Of Korn’s Adidas Tracksuits

YouTube, @KORN.

Korn’s signature Adidas tracksuits were a signature part of the band’s early years – but how exactly did that look come about?

Jonathan Davis says they were just trying to be “rebellious”: “We were never what you think a rock band should be… at the time everyone was wearing leather and that was super edgy looking, so we would wear sportswear.

He says the look was influenced by that other famous Adidas-sporting group, Run-DMC, calling it “that old B-boy thing from New York.”

The look would eventually lead to an official collaboration with Adidas and the band’s 1996 single “A.D.I.D.A.S.”
