Robert Trujillo is ready to do more than play bass for Metallica.

Trujillo, who put his voice to work on the “72 Seasons” track “You Must Burn,” recently told Metal Hammer that he would be up for more singing.

“I’m always there for what the band need!,” Trujillo said. “I was expecting to just do gang vocal-type things, adding a bit of texture and presence to the recording, but I didn’t realize I’d get a semi-solo moment!”

He added, “I always do my best whatever I’m asked to though, man, and these are the moments you can cherish.”
