Tom Petty’s Final Recording Wasn’t A Heartbreakers Album

YouTube, @Chris Hillman – Topic.

Tom Petty’s final recording before his death wasn’t a solo or Heartbreakers album – it was a record he made for a friend.

In 2017, Petty co-produced Bidin’ My Time, a solo album by former Byrds member Chris Hillman.

Hillman says it was Petty who insisted they record only a few hours each day – which “worked great”.

He also recruited a few Heartbreakers members, and other famous guest stars like David Crosby and Roger McGuinn. Petty would die later that year on October 16, 2017 at the age of 66.
