Steely Dan and R.E.M. will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year.
The two legendary bands were announced as part of the Hall’s Class of 2024.
Joining them will be Dean Pitchford, who co-wrote 80’s hits like “Footloose” and “Holding Out For a Hero”, Hillary Lindsey, the Nashville songwriter behind “Jesus, Take The Wheel”, and rapper-producer Timbaland.
The induction ceremony will be held June 13th in New York City.
