Four years after he left Journey, bassist Ross Valory is back with a new single and an upcoming solo album.

The album All of the Above, Valory’s first solo outing, is due in April, according to label OID Music. The first single from the album, an instrumental called “Tomland,” dropped on Wednesday. Valory says he originally had the idea for the song way back in 1972 after he left the Steve Miller Band. “I have been revisiting material that has been accumulating, and I am sharing some of my favorite songs for the first time,” Valory says.

An exact release date for All of the Above has not yet been announced.
