Geddy Lee has revealed the greatest gig of his career – and it wasn’t with Rush.

In his new memoir My Effin’ Life, Lee says the 2022 Taylor Hawkins tribute show in London was “maybe the greatest gig of my life.”

He called the show “the most joyous celebration of loss that I could ever imagine. I’ve never seen so many musicians in one place, and the atmosphere backstage was profoundly positive.”

At the show, Lee and Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson performed Rush songs together for teh first time since the band’s 2015 farewell tour – teaming up with drummers Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, and Omar Hakim.
