Alex Lifeson: “Without Neil Peart, It Can Never Be Rush”

Alex Lifeson wants to make it clear – even if he continues making music with Geddy Lee, it won’t be a Rush reunion.

Lifeson told Ultimate Guitar “There’s certainly a lot of interest in us doing something” but says it’s “not a priority for us.” He says if they did work together, it would be “something different”, adding “It can never be Rush.  Without Neil, it can *never* be Rush.”

Lately, Lifeson has been playing with the band Envy of None, while Geddy Lee just published a memoir, My Effin’ Life.
