Stevie Nicks Backup Singer Got Catfished Out Of $1 Million

YouTube, @USA TODAY.

A former backup singer for Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks says she was scammed out of a million bucks in a catfishing scheme.

Liza Likins says she was lured into an online relationship after losing her husband in 2020.

Her new beau, ‘Donald’, was an Australian gold miner who convinced her to send him money by promising to move to Las Vegas to be with her.

Likins says she fell “deeply, deeply in love” and sent him more than $1 million over a period of two and a half years – only to learn that her lover was a criminal who preyed on “lonely, widowed women.”

The FTC says Americans lost more than $1.14 billion to romantic scammers last year.
