Kansas drummer Phil Ehart is recovering from a major heart attack.

The band shared the news on social media on Friday, announcing that “there is no timetable for his return to the road.”

Ehart was already splitting time on stage with drum tech Eric Holmquist, who will take over full-time drum duties when the band’s 50th Anniversary Tour continues next month.

Ehart will remain in his behind-the-scenes role as the band’s manager.
