Currently on their third consecutive sold-out European headline tour, Dirty Honey has just dropped a new music video for “Coming Home (Ballad Of The Shire)” from their latest album, “Can’t Find The Brakes”.
The “Coming Home” video, a departure from the band’s usual high-energy bluesy rock ‘n’ roll vibe, reflects the song’s theme of navigating life’s ups and downs. Penned by vocalist Marc LaBelle, the song delves into personal struggles, love, and the journey through life’s challenges. Despite the hardships, it emphasizes the idea that home is wherever the heart lies, even if it’s just a few miles ahead.
LaBelle shared, “As musicians constantly on the road, ‘Home’ becomes wherever we’re making music. We wanted to capture our individual journeys, knowing that music will always lead us back home.”
Filmed in January by cinematographer Mark Christy, the video showcases various U.S. locales, including Snoquamish for snowy scenes and Durango and Flagstaff for train shots. Monument Valley provides an epic backdrop, symbolizing the beauty and vastness of the American West and the struggles of travel.
