Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Rickey Medlocke says the band is sitting on a treasure trove of unfinished music.

He told Iridium Rock and Metal Reviews “We might have a dozen and a half, two dozen songs that are just kind of laying around there to maybe put out.”

Medlocke says he and singer Johnny Van Zant have talked about releasing new music – but isn’t sure if he’d want to drop a full album or release one song at a time.

The last Lynyrd Skynyrd album was 2012’s Last of a Dyin’ Breed.
