Wolfgang Van Halen‘s Oscars experience was more than he thought it would be.

In an Instagram post, the Mammoth WVH frontman reflected on his performance at Sunday’s ceremony, when he joined Slash and Ryan Gosling for the Barbie song “I’m Just Ken.”

Both Wolfie and Slash played on the studio version of the track, which was nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar.

Wolfgang titled the post “SUBLIME!” and said thank you to writers and producers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. He also added, “Honored to have played a small part in something so incredible.” The post included photos of the performance and of Wolf on the red carpet with his wife, Andraia, and his mother, Valerie Bertinelli.

Wolf told reporters that preparing for the Oscars performance was “more stressful” than his wedding day.
