Former Journey bassist Ross Vallory opened up about his not-so-friendly split with the band in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
He says the fissures began in 2017 when he, Jonathan Cain, and singer Arnel Pineda visited President Donald Trump at the White House – which ticked off guitarist Neal Schon.
Schon wanted to keep politics “separate from their music”, Valory says – but Valory says he never considered the White House visit “as a political statement.”
Valory will be releasing his first solo album, All of the Above, on April 12th.
