Pantera bassist Rex Brown says he’s open to writing new music with the current incarnation of the band.

Asked about the possibility in an interview with Australian radio, Brown said “Absolutely…  I could tell you more but I’m not going to.”

Other band members have suggested that any music written by the current group would have to be released under a different name.

The Pantera reunion includes Brown and lead singer Philip Anselmo, with Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante filling in for late brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul.
