Gene Simmons To Play 1st Live Show Since KISS Disbanded

Four months after the members of KISS delivered their final performance at Madison Square Garden, Gene Simmons is returning to the stage as a solo act.

The bassist-singer has signed on to perform at the grand opening of the Rock & Brews restaurant in Ridgefield, Washington. The gig is set for 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23rd, according to the venue.

While a restaurant opening might seem to be below Simmons’ usual standards, it should be noted that he and KISS bandmate Paul Stanley co-founded Rock & Brews with hotel mogul Michael Zislis. “There are no rules, which is my favorite thing in life,” Simmons says of the upcoming show. “Anything is bound to happen. I may jump off the stage and get into the audience. We may pull some folks out of the audience. You wanna sing ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You?’ Here’s the mic. Good luck.”
