Dave Grohl Covers Punk Classic With Some Famous Friends

YouTube, @Megaforce Records.

Dave Grohl is a man of many side projects – and his latest just covered a punk rock classic.

Grohl teamed up with Anthrax members Scott Ian and Charlie Benante to cover Bad Brains’ 1982 song “The Regulator” for Record Store Day.

They also released a music video with footage from the recording sessions at Grohl’s Studio 606. The track was released as a limited-edition 7″ vinyl single under the name G.B.I. – for ‘Grohl, Benante, Ian’.

Proceeds from the single will help play for healthcare for Bad Brains frontman Paul ‘H.R.’ Hudson.
