Ozzy Admits He Lied About Being a Sex Addict

This week on Yesterday’s News Today with Baby Huey and Chasta, the duo looks over the top rock news headlines of the week:

Ozzy Osbourne Remembers Lemmy

Ozzy wrote about his longtime friend Lemmy Kilmister on Rolling Stone:

Ozzy Osbourne is one of the few musicians who knew Lemmy Kilmister from his early days in Hawkwind through four decades of Motörhead. They toured together on Osbourne’s first U.S. solo trek, they wrote hits like “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” “See You on the Other Side” and the Grammy-winning “I Don’t Want to Change the World” together and they swapped war stories and war memorabilia together. When Osbourne learned of Kilmister’s passing on Monday, he was in shock. Here, he pays loving tribute to his longtime friend.

Ozzy Insists He’s a Rock Star, Not a Sex Addict

Ozzy tells The Times he isn’t a sex addict, he’s simply a rock star:

I’m in a f–king rock band, aren’t I? There have always been groupies. I just got caught, didn’t I? It was a bump in the road. I bet your marriage has bumps in the road too an’ all. In any marriage you grow apart if you don’t spend enough time together, and that was part of the problem. I don’t think I’m a f–king sex addict.

Guns N’ Roses Bassist Reveals New Recordings

Former GNR bassist Tommy Stinson told Rolling Stone about the band’s unreleased material:

There’s some stuff with lyrics, some without. We did a lot of stuff that was supposed to be on Chinese Democracy – the record was meant to be more than one disc, but after spending so much time on it we just had to put an end to it. There’s also stuff that was held over from [the original lineup] before they all disbanded, so there’s some stuff that should someday see the light of day.

“Singles” Turns 25

Cameron Crowe’s 1992 romantic comedy Singles marked the explosion of grunge in mainstream consciousness. It’s soundtrack featured emerging bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam. 25 years later, Singles is being commemorated with a highly anticipated expanded soundtrack album reissue.
