Last night Green Day performed “Still Breathing” which is my favorite song from their latest album “Revolution Radio.”

I always smile when I hear that song because it takes me back to last September when I was hanging out with Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool at Green Day’s rehearsal studios in Oakland. While I was there Mike and Tre played for me unreleased new songs before the album came out the following month, one of those songs was “Still Breathing.”

Here’s a photo of me with Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool at their Studio. It was such a fun day and both were very nice to hang out with.

BEST. DAY. EVER! Thank you so much @mikedirnt and @trecool from @greenday for letting me hang out with you guys this afternoon. It's moments like this for why I wanted to get into radio. All the long days and early hours I put in at work are totally worth it so I can be able to meet bands I grew up loving and everyone knows #GreenDay is my all time favorite band. It was awesome to get to know #MikeDirnt and #TreCool on a more personal level. Plus I'm still in shock they remember me from other events we have run into each other at. Both guys were extremely nice and down to earth to talk to. Thank you @matthewpinfield and @producerchar for letting come with you guys. Today was a major highlight for me in my career.
