San Francisco Chronicle: “Radio rarity: Steven Seaweed goes out on top”


After over 40 years on the air, our own Steven Seaweed is (well deservedly) signing off for the last time June 30th. Ben Fong from the San Francisco Chronicle sat down with Steven to talk about his legacy, getting his start in radio, and his legendary nickname. Steven tells Fong:

They want to keep me around. I’m getting great ratings. It’s totally my decision. It’s just a good time. I’ve been doing it for 44 years. Besides, my Pops said, ‘Just think about going out on top.’ That’s great advice. And I am going out on top.
