‘The End of The End’ documentary records Black Sabbath’s final concert

Black Sabbath will release The End of The End documentary in theaters worldwide for a one-night-only experience September 28th.

The documentary chronicles Black Sabbath’s final concert of their farewell tour “The End,” which took place on February 4, 2017 in their hometown of Birmingham, England in front of a sold out crowd. The film will also feature studio performances of songs from their catalog not played in the concert and personal accounts from different band members.

Black Sabbath released a statement that thanked their fans for their support over the years.

To bring it all back home after all these years was pretty special. It was so hard to say goodbye to the fans, who’ve been incredibly loyal to us through the years. We never dreamed in the early days that we’d be here 49 years later doing our last show on our home turf.

During the historic final show, frontman Ozzy Osbourne shared his thoughts on capping off the band’s career.

“So it’s the final show,” Osbourne said. “And I’ve got to tell you something, what a journey we’ve all had. It’s fucking amazing. We started this in 1968 and now it’s 2017 – I don’t fucking believe that shit, man. But you know what? We would not survive if it wasn’t for the fanbase.”

“So if you’re a veteran fan, great. If you’re new, welcome. But I can’t tell you enough how grateful we are for your support,” Osbourne added.

While the film will be screened across over 1,500 theaters worldwide, fans can request a screening of the film near them by visiting http://www.blacksabbathfilmtickets.com/ and clicking the “demand it” tab. Although Black Sabbath is done gigging, Osbourne will be back on stage July 14 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
