Yesterday’s News Today: Acrobat plummets to death before Green Day concert

In this week’s edition of “Yesterday’s News Today,” Baby Huey and Chasta discuss criticism surrounding Green Day, a major development involving a Freddie Mercury biopic, and a musical theatre/grunge music collaboration.

An acrobat died after falling over 100 feet while performing prior to Green Day’s set at the Mad Cool festival in Madrid, Spain. Many people criticized the band for performing shortly after such a tragic death, but Green Day said they were not notified of the death until after their performance.

Also in the news, Brian May announced the long-rumored biopic of Freddie Mercury from Queen is actually going to happen, starring Rami Malek as Mercury.

Lastly, the Seattle Repertory Theatre is developing a new musical involving Nirvana and Soundgarden.
