Motörhead releases never-before-heard cover of ‘Heroes’


David Bowie’s hit “Heroes” got a ‘Motörheading,’ with Motörhead’s signature sound rocking through on the never-before-heard track.

The band’s newly released music video for “Heroes” comes off their new compilation album, Under CöverThe track was recorded during the Bad Magic sessions in 2015 by Cameron Webb and was one of the last songs Motörhead recorded together.

Guitarist Phil Campbell spoke about the band’s cover of Bowie’s classic:

It’s such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming out of it from us, and so it proved to be and Lemmy ended up loving our version.

Motörhead’s compilation album Under Cöver is scheduled for release on September 1 in CD, vinyl, boxset and digital formats.
