Sean Killian, vocalist for influential San Francisco Bay Area thrash metal band VIO-LENCE, has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cirrhosis. They are actively searching for a live donor transplant candidate.
Email [email protected] for secure link from UCSF. Sean will remain a candidate only as long as he is healthy enough for such a transplant. Once this window closes, UCSF will reassess his condition then decide whether or not to place him on the official list for a donor liver through UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing).
Other ways to help, aside from seeing if you might be a match, is to share the news, contribute on their GoFundMe page and events like this golf tournament.
While they are insured, the out-of-pocket costs are still quite high and if a donor is found, they are responsible for funding their portion of the transplant.
