Radio Row before the chaos begins in Las Vegas
First off, special thanks to AC/DC for allowing me to paraphrase some lyrics from a lost classic to title this blog (see below).
Some call it “The King of Boxing vs. “The King of MMA”. Others say, “Two Kings Collide. One Will Reign”. Take your choice or make your own slogan for when Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor clash for the event of the year.
It all happens (finally) from the T-Mobile Arena this Saturday night (8/26) at 6pm PT. The city is buzzing. Even more so than you might typically see after a blue hair hits the jackpot on the penny slots. Some see it as a sporting event and other as an entertainment spectacle. Both descriptions make it a perfect fit for Las Vegas.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather is an undefeated, 12-time boxing champion from five weight classes. “The Notorious” Conor McGregor is the reigning UFC lightweight champion. Both have talents (and bankroll) that justify their nicknames and it’s the first time ever that two champs from these separate entities meet for a sanctioned boxing match.
We are live from radio row Thursday and Friday bringing the sights and sounds from the event. The fight is available on Pay Per View this Saturday night.
