It’s been over 31 years since Cliff Burton died. The bassist performed on Metallica’s first three studio albums but was tragically killed during a bus accident while the band was touring Sweden in support of their classic album, Master of Puppets.
There is a petition to honor the legend that has now received official support. The Castro Valley Municipal Advisory Board has voted unanimously (7-0) in support of declaring his birthday (February 10th) as “Cliff Burton Day” in his hometown of Castro Valley.
The MAC Board vote in favor will now be forwarded to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors.
Would you like to sign the petition? I did. You can too HERE
