Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl tricked fans this past week at the band’s concert in Gothenburg, Sweden, the same city where he broke his leg in 2015
The band had a stuntman dressed up like Dave Grohl so he can pretend to reenact the singer’s infamous leg break that took place at a Foo Fighters concert in Sweden back in 2015. The stuntman has been revealed as Swedish stunt professional Svante Hildesson.
Dave Grohl tricked fans at the Gothenburg concert on Tuesday night (June 5th) after someone who looked like the frontman was seen falling off the stage at the beginning of their performance. Soon after Dave Grohl appeared out from behind drummer Taylor Hawkins’ kit to reassure fans that he hadn’t sustained another injury. Watch footage of the prank below.
Svante Hildesson’s recent hiring as Dave Grohl’s stuntman has now been revealed on Instagram. Plus, another video angle showing Hildesson’s part in the prank has also been posted to Instagram, as well as a backstage shot of Hildesson and Grohl together before the show, both can be seen below.
Foo Fighters will be at the SAP Center in San Jose on Wednesday, September 12th. Tickets on sale now through: www.ticketmaster.com
