Where To Celebrate Oktoberfest In The Bay

It’s that time of year again! Time to don your lederhosen, grab a ridiculously large pretzel and sip on an even larger beer…Oktoberfest! But did you know that this German beer festival actually started off as a wedding celebration? In fact, the first Oktoberfest was held in 1810  to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, thus according to the official Oktoberfest website, and the rest is well…history.

OCT. 13: Peninsula Oktoberfest 2018: Hiller Aviation Museum. San Carlos: Fine fare, beer & traditional Bavarian music.

SOUTH BAY
OCT. 20-21: Annual Oktoberfest 2018: Downtown Campbell. A community tradition that features German food, beer and wine, live music, and arts and crafts.
SEPT. 22 & 29: Ludwig’s German Table Oktoberfest San Jose.  Live band & biergarten. Vegetarian meal option, too.

EAST BAY
