We never thought we would say this but health comes first! In an interview with a San Antonio TV Station, KSAT, the country music legend shared that “I don’t smoke anymore – take better care of myself.” Willie Nelson also added “I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more difficult these days and I have to be careful.”
Nelson add that each night preforming is “an energy exchange and [the crowd] give(s) me a lot of positive energy and I hope to give them a lot of positive energy, and for an hour they get away from everything they don’t like.” The 86-year old also added that “singing out there for an hour, is a workout and your lungs are the biggest muscle you got.” See the full interview below.
Willie is currently off for the holidays but his tour will resume in January 2020. Don’t miss him at the Fillmore January 6th, 8th and 9th in San Francisco. Tickets are available at livenation.com.
